LIFE in Your Church

January 18, 2026

Sanctity of Human Life is an annual LIFE event for churches nationwide. Is your church on board?

Why should your church partner with THRIVE?

1. Extending the Church’s Mission

  • Pro-life ministry: It gives the church a tangible way to live out its pro-life values by supporting vulnerable women, children, and families.

  • Serving the vulnerable: Churches are called to care for “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40). Pregnancy centers often work with women in crisis, single mothers, and families in poverty.

2. Outreach and Evangelism Opportunities

  • Connecting with the community: Pregnancy centers attract individuals who may not otherwise come to church. By partnering, the church has an open door to serve and evangelize.

  • Building relationships: Church members can serve as mentors, offering long-term spiritual and emotional support beyond what the center may provide.

3. Discipleship and Volunteer Engagement

  • Empowering members to serve: Volunteers can be trained to counsel, teach parenting classes, or offer post-abortion healing — helping them grow spiritually.

  • Living out faith: Hands-on service allows believers to practice compassion, grace, and hospitality in very real and personal ways.

4. Holistic Ministry Support

  • Wraparound care: Pregnancy centers can handle immediate needs (e.g., pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, resources), while churches can offer ongoing support like childcare, Bible studies, job training, or housing assistance.

  • Post-abortion ministry: Churches can provide healing ministries for women and men impacted by abortion, in partnership with the center’s resources.

5. Enhancing the Church’s Reputation

  • Public witness: Partnering with a pregnancy center demonstrates the church’s active concern for both the unborn and the mother, which can positively influence how the broader community views the church.

  • Non-political approach: It allows the church to promote life in a compassionate, service-oriented way rather than through purely political advocacy.

6. Strengthening Family Ministry

  • Support for single parents: Many pregnancy centers offer parenting classes and support groups, which churches can enhance through mentoring, fellowship, or resources.

  • Youth education: Churches can benefit from the center’s programs on healthy relationships, abstinence, and sexual integrity.

7. Opportunities for Giving and Stewardship

  • Donation drives: Churches can collect diapers, baby clothes, or funds — engaging the congregation in generosity and tangible compassion.

  • Financial stewardship: Supporting a local center may be a more cost-effective way for a church to minister to women in crisis than starting an independent program from scratch.

Let us equip you!

Have you been looking for a way for your faith community to join you in answering God’s call to protect LIFE? Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is held annually near the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion in the United States. Although Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, and abortion laws have changed in Texas, some minds have not. Unfortunately, abortion seems to be available now more than ever with the easily accessible chemical abortion pill found online. So, there is still work to be done.

If you would like for your church to be involved in our Sanctity of Human Life celebrations we will help you through every step, from contacting your pastor to considering different formats. Start here.

What does it look like?

Each year about 20 amazing Dallas-area churches join us to highlight the abortion issue and raise support for our clinic services. Here are some examples:

Park Cities Baptist Church

Kate’s client video was shown during the main church service to highlight our ministry.

Baby bottles were sent home with each family to fill with funds. They returned them a couple weeks later with $1,614 for our ministry!

✔ Kate, our client, came in person to share a message with three different youth and adult Bible Study classes that same morning.

✔ A booth in the lobby presented baby models, brochures, newsletters, and volunteer opportunities. We equipped a PCBC member and TWC volunteer Rachel with all the table items she needed.

“This was a great opportunity for people to hear from a client who was a personally affected by our clinic services. Kate’s message resonated with all ages, from high school students to senior adults.” — Emma Brezik, PCBC member.

The Heights Church in Richardson

✔ One big Bible Fellowship group of about 40 adults worked through our Vinekeepers conversation guide, which covers stats, scriptures, and ways to talk their kids about LIFE.

✔ The same group watched this video about client, Kristal.

✔ Kristal visited the class in person with her baby to thank them for their support.

Baby bottles were sent home with each family. The class raised $165.20.

“Over the years, our class had never discussed this important issue before! Perhaps we feared it because abortion can be such an uncomfortable topic, but this was presented in such a fresh, real, and hopeful way. We all left empowered.” — Emily Kuhnel, Heights member
